Emergency [Open To All]

[Bella Caine]

Bella was on the way to surprise her dad at work to tell him about the great news. She wondered about what her dad would think about her great news. She only thought that because the great news was that she is engaged and pregnant and the father/fiance is actually a guy who Horatio (Bella's father) didn't like a whole lot. Bella knew this because every single time Luke (the boyfriend) and Horatio were in the same room they always ended up arguing about the littlest things. Unfortunately for her dad she really didn't care if her father & her boyfriend didn't get along, she just cared about being happy and healthy. Then again if Luke ever was the reason for something happening to her father then she would leave him in a split second. Then all of the sudden Bella started to feel uncontrollably dizzy that she couldn't even hold herself up, then she collapsed. Thankfully when Bella collapsed Calleigh and Natalia were right across the street when she collapsed. Right when Bella collapsed they rushed to her rescue and took her right to the hospital. Once Bella got the hospital Calleigh immediately called Horatio and this is how the conversation went:

Calleigh: Horatio you need to get to the hospital immediately
Horatio: Why? What Happened? Are You Okay?
Calleigh: I'm fine but Bella isn't
Haratio: Okay I'll be right there

It was a coincidence, he had to say that much was true. A terribly unexpected coincidence; that could never have happened, had that hospital fallen on him. Here he was, getting a few more tips on how to heal faster, when he spotted none other than Calleigh and Natalia, walking along with some men who had a woman on a stretcher. Strange, the woman; he couldn't quite recall ever having met her. Had they been hiding people from him all along?

The Trace analyst got the last of his doctor's notes, thanking him and saying his good-byes, before slipping out of the room and after the two women, including that one woman he had yet to be acquainted with.

"What the heck is this?"

As soon as Bella woke up she noticed that she was lying in a hospital bed and she was actually quite confused. She started to think, why am I in a hospital bed? what happened? Then all of the sudden she noticed Luke & her dad walking in along a with a nurse and a doctor.

Ryan had been forced [as always, he never quite had a say in things] to wait outside; without an explanation. If one knew the trace analyst well, they would understand that he always needed an answer for something. And if he would not receive said answer, or be permitted to look for it, it would be driving him insane on the inside. He growled just a little as he sat outside the room, watching as Horatio walked in along with one of the nurses. He sighed, leaning his head against the wall; almost unable to control his temper.

He would be thinking of a dozen hypotheses in the few minutes he would not be given an answer.

And hopefully, one of them would be it.

Right when Luke, her dad, the nurse & the doctor walked into the room she noticed that Ryan was standing right outside the hospital room. So right then and there Bella asked Luke and her dad if one of them could go and explain what is going on with her to Ryan because she didn't want him to be left in the dark about all this.

"Oh."

It was all Ryan could say, and he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. He had never quite met Horatio's daughter, Bella, if he wasn't mistaken; but he was sure she had been in the crime lab once or twice. He had been much too busy with working on cases the day she came, and he supposed maybe she knew him, but he did not know her.

He felt terribly out of the loop suddenly.

Terrible.

Confusion came to mind when Bella saw Ryan's face and that was because she wanted him to come in. See in the past Bella remembered that Ryan never left her in the dark about anything so she didn't wanna do the same to him.

Peeping his head in, Ryan coughed; fist moving to cover his mouth ever so slightly. "Um, hey, Bel-- Ms. Caine. Are you okay?" he asked, mentally slapping himself for calling her by her first name. He had to show some kind of professionalism, even if just a little. After all, he was working under her father, and it would be rather awkward to call someone he had barely met by her first name.

"I'm Ryan Wolfe, um, if you didn't know that already."

[Bella Caine]

"Yes I do know your name Mr. Wolfe, but you can call me Bella if you want, I mean its not like were at work right now". Uncomfortable was another thing that came to mind after she said those words to ryan and she didn't want that for him. So right and there she asked him "is something wrong Mr. Wolfe".

Ryan blinked at the question that was fired at him, wondering just how he had been caught; before briefly recalling how horrible he was in acting class back in his grade school years. He let a slightly sheepish smile cross his face, mixed with a tad dose of guilt.

"Um, well, Bella.." he started, unsure of how to continue the sentence in a way he, and she, would understand.

"I never really got to.. know you, did I?" the trace analyst concluded, shuffling his feet a little.

Bella wasn't really surprised that Ryan didn't remember her from work because there are a whole lot of people there. See she didn't really remember a whole lot of people from work and she knew that it was pretty awkward if she didn't remember a person's name. "Actually yes you did but It's okay I won't take it personally Ryan"

Ryan chuckled nervously, unsure of where to go with that. Did that mean that it was okay with her, or was she just saying that to make him less uncomfortable? He had nearly frowned, though had done his best to simply ignore it, falling into the seat next to her bed and grinning almost sheepishly.

"You're gonna let me make up for lost time, aren't you?" he asked, almost playfully.

"Yes I am and please don't let the fact that my dad is your boss effect anything" she said hoping that her dad wouldn't take anything personally. She wondered why Ryan was so cautious around her and then she thought that the cautiousness is probably because of the fact that she is his boss' daughter & Eric's niece.

Ryan grinned, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, honestly that scared me just a little," he said; hoping he didn't sound like an idiot. He most likely did, however, since he was the most immature in the lab. Lovely, isn't it?

"But, meeeh. I just hope you get better quicker, because I don't really intend for all the lost time being made up just to have talking in it," the male stated with a small pout.

She knew that the fact of her being Horatio Caine's daughter frightened a whole lot of people and she expected the same thing from Ryan. "I hope that I get better quicker too Ryan, being in a hospital isn't really my kind of thing" "Then again hospital's aren't really anyone's kind of thing unless you work here"

Ryan thought about that for a bit, and smirked a little. "Maybe. But some people go to the hospital to get attention, and some of them think the doctors or nurses are cute, so.." he trailed off, waving a hand. "I mean, come on! People are desperate these days!" he continued, hoping the point was stressed without him seeming like a total idiot.

Right when Ryan left the hospital room Bella noticed that her doctor was walking in and he said "so how are you feeling today Bella?""I'm feeling a little bit better, when can I go home?". So then as her nurse was walking in to check on her the doctor said "you can actually go home today...I just wouldn't recommend any field work until after you have your baby"She didn't like the fact of not being able to do any field work but she didn't want to risk loosing her baby because of stress or even being shot from being in the line of fire.
