H. Caine, Shot in leg

[Horatio Caine]

Horatio lay in the hospital bed. His mind was racing. He wondered how he could have gotten shot. He wasnt in the red line of fire.
"It must have ricocheted off something" Horatio mumbled to himself. He was really bored. He is used to not being bored.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

Calleigh had just got her ribs bandeged up. She desided to go see H. Might as well seeing that im here. she thought. She walked into his room. Hey "H". How you feeling.

[Horatio Caine]

"I don't know yet" Horatio said snapping out of his bordom.
"How are you?" Horatio asked Calleigh the same question she had asked him. He despratetly wanted to go back to work. And at least sit at his desk all day.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

She smiled. Oh. Im good. He needs to get back to work soon or he will go crazy. she thought. I guess i got lucky. d**n it i still feel bad about that. she thought.

[Horatio Caine]

"By the way" Horatio started. Should I asker her. No she will think i'm crazy. Horatio thought.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

She sighed. By the way,what? She asked. Hmp i wonder what hes thinking. Well i guess i will wait.

[Horatio Caine]

"Ok by any chance do you know when I can get out of here?" Horatio asked. He gave her a friendly humorus smirk. Yep she probably thinks im crazy. Wanting to get out of here.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

Calleigh smiled. Tell you the truth i dont know. Maby if you act like your feeling fine the will let you out. You really want to get back to work dont you? She asked. Man hes crazy sometimes.

[Horatio Caine]

"Sorry. I tried that the last time I got shot. It didnt work" Horatio said. But that was two years ago. And their no stupider. So i'm stuck here. He thought getting bored and feeling defeated.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

She smiled. Ok well that ideas a dud. What else. She thought. She got up from the chair. By the look of things you should be out in a day or two.

[Horatio Caine]

Horatio put his head back on his pillow.
"Alright" Horatio sighed. I dont want to stay here for another day or two. Might as well do my time. And then get out of here and back to work.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

But when you get out of here you still have to be carfull. Considering you will be in cruches. She smiled. Ugh. It was going to be a long two days. Oh well.

[Horatio Caine]

"Your kidding me?" Horatio asked. There is no way i'm going to use cruches. He thought to himself. Then he remembered the time he broke his leg when he was 11. That wasnt so bad, but still.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

No. Im not kidding you. She sighed. Ugh. This is going to be bad. He is going to go crazy.

[Horatio Caine]

"Fine" Horatio said trying to calm down. When he didn't calm down a nurse came in and gave him something. Horatio was getting teired.
"What did you do ma'am?" Horatio asked.
"Your heart rate was getting to high. And when that happens, well when your in the hospital and on medication, it can get to be fatal" She said and left.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

She smile. Lets see how he going to hangel this. He already hates it here. What else can make him hate it more. she asked her selve. Feeling any calmer? Any way i will see you tomarrow.

[Horatio Caine]

"Goodbye Calleigh" Horatio said drifting off into a deep sleep. His dream was horrorfing. His mind kept playing the shooting over and over again. But instead of living he died. He awoke with a start in the morning.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

It was morrning. She walked into the hospital. I wonder if he is feeling any better. She walked in to the room. Hey "H". Feeling any better?

[Horatio Caine]

"You could say that" Horatio said relieved that she was there. Now maybe he could forget about his dream. He sighed.
"Anything new?" He asked her trying to start some sort of conversation.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

No. Not really. Are you ok you look like youv'e seen a ghost? She asked. I wonder whats wrong.

[Horatio Caine]

Horatio smiled.
"No, i'm fine. It was just a dream" Horatio said and tried to relax. He grabed his cellpone off the table and opened it. No new messages.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

She smiled. Uhh. ok. What was the dream about. Ump i wonder if its about the shooting. I wonder if he will tell me.

[Savannah Katez]

Savannah came in to check on Horatio. Calleigh was there.
"Good morning, you two. How are you feeling this morning Horatio, they might let you out tomorrow on one condition..." She knew he was going to hate the condition!

[Horatio Caine]

"Goodmorning Savannah" Horatio said cheering up.
"It was about the shooting Calleigh. I got shot in different places and i died each time" Horatio said lowering his eyes. He took the time to set his cellphone back down.

[Savannah Katez]

"You're not going to die! You have to be careful about what you do, though. You will be on crutches no matter how much you complain about it. You have to be careful not to burst your stitches. For at least the rest of this week, you should stay in the office and not do anything rash," Savannah explained the condition to him. Hopefully, he would accept it.

[Horatio Caine]

Horatio sighed.
"Thats very well fine with me as long as i'm in the lab i will be fine" Horatio said happy. Not only at my desk i could be testing some things. He thought to himself.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

She smiled. He not going to be staying at his desk. If i know him he will try to do other things. Oh well i guess it cant be helped. Your happy your going to be out of this place arnt you?

[Horatio Caine]

"Thankful. Savannah by any chance do you think they will let me out today?" Horatio said hopefully. He waited. He looked outside at the briliant white clouds and shinig sun.

[Savannah Katez]

"Keep dreaming, love. You can work all you want in the lab, as you don't hurt yourself. You'll have to come back in a while to get the stitches out," Savannah replied, smiling.

[Calleigh Duquesne]

Calleigh smiled. The sooner hes out the better. I guess its good that he can get of of here. She sighed. Its good you will out of here soon.
