Kyle couldn't help but smile at the determination the detective showed, though shook it off when he realized just how much pain she could be going through if she did not go along with it.
It was then he realized her slowly retreating form.
Cobalt optics blinking, the blond teen stood, walking over to her and wondering why he cared about all these people. "Hey, Anya, are you okay?" he asked, his face holding a serious sort of look; indicating that he would need a straight answer. A nod of the head, or a shaking would work, considering her throat must be on fire.

Fighting to shake the panic away, it soon was subdued but not altogether gone. She knew who did this and she was determined to find her. Taking a deep breath, she raced off in the direction of an abandoned building not too far from the hospital what used to be the hospital.

The amount of surprise that coursed through Kyle's body wasn't enough to fuel his adrenalin. Well, not yet. He had spotted Aiden running off towards an abandoned building, and this rose slight suspicion for the teen. Could she, somehow, be connected to this? Or at least, connected to the perpetrator?
So many questions.
So little time.

Aiden slowed to a stop near the back entrance of the abandoned building. Moving cautiously toward the doorknob, her hand graced the handle of her gun. Her breath caught in her throat. Sorrow was in there. The seventeen year old arsonist that she acted as almost an old sister to, was in there.
She swung the door open and stood there in the door way. "Lizzie."

Kyle was walking around the crime scene like a lost child. He fit the child part, but he was most definitely not lost. It was just that he needed to find something, anything, to trace back to the killers--
--well, hello there!
He bent down, flashing his flashlight against the thread, no, hair!
How lovely.
He could test his DNA skills, too!

Sorrow didn't so much as flinch at the familiar voice or the raised gun. A smirk spread across her lips. She let out a giggle, almost hysterical. " Hey Aid. Come here to bust me?"
She giggled again, this time getting to her feet and locking her deep blue eyes with Aiden's.

OOC: I'm too lazy and tired to play with UBBCs. *Sighs*
IC: Anya gazed unseeingly at Kyle for a moment, not really registering what was going on. Her mind was too blurred with shock and grief from the sight of the dead child. It reminded her so much of her sister, who would have survived, if it wasn't for her. If she hadn't let go, her sister wouldn't be dead. While her sister lost her life all she was left with was a crippled arm. Bitterness burned away most of the grief, and was then further replaced by confusion. "Yes, ugh, fine," she stammered, backing away more. She then blinked, struggling to maintain her expression in a more calmed way, but it wasn't working too well.

Horatio listened for a moment longer. He heard the faint gasps and screeches in the rooms beyond. His focused snapped back to the room that was ahead of him when what sounded like someone was pulling a leg behind them.
draag-thump, draag-thump.... it stopped and Horatio silently moved his hand to his gun holster. He heard it sigh and the horrible noise sounded once more. draag-thump, draag-thump. He realized it was coming towards the door and he hurriedly set the bullets into the magazine and set them, ready for what was going to come around that corner.
At the click of Horatio's gun the thing stopped and the sighed breathing continued but got fainter and fainter till Horatio heard a hand clasp over a mouth, silencing the hoarse breathing.
