Welcome to San Juan Island, a small island off the coast of
Washington state. It doesn't quite match the grandeur of islands
found in the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean, but anyone who has
spent some time here can agree that there's a special and unique air
about it. Some would argue, however, that the whimsical, golden
grasses clinging to black cliffs and lush temperate rain forest has an
even more mesmerizing beauty. Either way, every picturesque corner
of the world has its secrets. On San Juan Island, it seems almost
